General Electrodynamics Corp. expands its service and support to further educate our customers through use of aircraft weight and balance training. The purpose of the course is to define the general requirements, procedures and responsibilities for aircraft weight and balance control. Information and explanations of balance principals, related to definition and terms, and procedures are taught along with general information pertinent to the maintenance of specific weight and balance records and tasks.

Our courses are tailored to weight and balance technicians/specialists that operate or maintain aircraft or helicopters, both military and commercial. GEC is the only aircraft scale manufacture with the experience and reputation providing Weight and Balance training that the USAF considers equivalent to the USAF Weight and Balance Practical Course for contractors per T.O. 1-1B-50 Paragraph 4-5.2. Upon successful completion of the course and exam, each student will receive a GEC certification bearing his or her name and course number.

General Electrodynamics Corp. further expands its service and support to include Automated Weight and Balance Systems (AWBS) software training. AWBS is the software that automates the DD Form 365 series Weight and Balance forms and is in use by all Military services for their aircraft and helicopters. Contractors for the US Government, who maintain or modify US Military aircraft, may be required to perform Weight and Balance records updates in AWBS. GEC offers AWBS as a stand-alone class or can integrate this training into any requested Weight and Balance class (if done so in advance). All aspects of the AWBS software are addressed - from software installation through all the Charts and Forms. This class will assist in your specific needs for any particular airframe/modification with Master Charts A and modification managers - which are both tremendous time savers for your company. Our training can easily be tailored to your specific contract requirements or company needs.
